What is the difference between a "bed fan" and a Bedfan? "Bed fan" describes a fan intended to be used to affect a bed, or the person in that bed, presumable for the purpose of cooling that person. Any fan could be used for this purpose, from a ceiling fan to a tabletop fan to a box fan. But if the person in the bed wishes to cover themselves, then all effects of the fan are lost due to the covering.

A Bedfan, on the other hand, injects air beneath the covers from the foot of the bed, thereby much more efficiently cooling the target surface (skin) directly instead of moving the whole room's air except the air under the sheets.
