LED Light Up Balls Information

All of the lighted sports balls we sell operate the same way: They have a bright, red LED light inside them and they are made of material that lets some of the light through so that you can see it in the dark. They are bright, easy to see, and the batteries last a long time. When the batteries do eventually run out, they are easy to change and easy to find at grocery and hardware stores.

Available for football, basketball, volleyball, and soccer, these balls are all full-size, tough, and made for actual sports use. Please do not confuse these with the cheap, flimsy, lighted balls you might see at a dollar store or a flea market.

*Glow-in-the-Dark verses LED/Light-Up

We use the term glow-in-the-dark so that people unfamiliar with LED will find our products. In reality, glow-in-the-dark and LED are not the same thing. Glow-in-the-dark means the sports ball or disc has to be exposed to light to absorb light before it can emit light, or glow. Even then, the glow is weak and fades quickly. LED lights, on the other hand, are battery-powered and their brightness lasts for hours!

So just to clarify: we sell LED, not glow-in-the-dark!
